As an avid book reader, I end up reading several books of various categories including that of marketing ,with enough information, tips and tactics.
But does so much of information stayed with me ?,actually no.
Few days ago, when a marketing consultant reached out promising me leads ,I was so carried away by the content and lecture ,that little did I pay heed to the enormous work I ‘ve already completed in past 3 years of my coaching.
Result – ended up ,paying more than required to a program ,I was not in need of ,with no major outcomes.
When realization dawn upon me , it took me a few days to pull myself out of it . If ,not been for my Coach, I would have continued on self criticizing myself, self loathing about the error committed , calling it a major blunder and myself a dumb learner.
Self compassion is one area , strangely where very few give one self a benefit of doubt .
As an empathetic Coach, I myself hold a huge gap in practicing it ,as I do not to the extent I should.
Just like self care, self compassion is an unknown territory to many, and an area, a gap we all need to pay attention to.

Ask yourself , or simply reflect how do you treat yourself with words and thoughts any time you encounter hardship ? Your answer holds a lot ,and as you reflect on it , you will be more than surprised towards the behavior you have adapted towards your very own self ,that equally needs correction and compassion .
As you exercise kindness towards your self, you will observe less stress ,less ruminating and lesser biases dominating your mental space.
