When Narendra found himself under stress beyond control, losing appetite, lack of sleep, and constantly living in a state of anxiety, he was referred to me by his colleague.
Case
Narendra was the only breadwinner for his family and with additional responsibilities of his unmarried siblings along with elderly parents, he was neck-deep into debt.
Narendra was talented, and a no-nonsense type of person, soft-spoken and often submissive, financial constraints had further silenced him, and therefore would often give in to his boss’s demands.
The toxic boss knew of Narendra’s weak points and would manipulate him in every possible area, but when Narendra couldn’t take it anymore, with his health deteriorating, he turn to a coach for assistance.
Coaching
Coaching Narendra was a delightful experience, filled with nostalgia since I have been through very similar experiences with difficult bosses.
Narendra was coached to renew his lost self-worth, build a plan and bring in certainty by understanding what exactly held him back from being authentic to his real self.
The method 1 adapted was – Journaling with a prompt to help Narendra’s learn about his inner self, thoughts and belief’s
Method 2 included was – Socratic questioning
A question and answer session to bring forth insights, the questions are not general but very specific to Narendra’s life and his inner self
Method 3 was a plan with timelines
A plan with action and timelines, so that Narendra work and I as a Coach monitor his progress

Coach {Me} Ask yourself two questions
Number 1, is this the only job in the world that offers you money and can save you from financial constraints?
Number 2, why have you given your boss so much control over you and your life, that every time you want to quit, he can pressurize you?
Remember one thing, we are what we think ourselves to be, You may have financial issues but it does not mean you put up with stupid bosses who force you into a job.
Be smart, look around, increase your network and silently work to find a good job, once you get one, quit this job and stop worrying or being bothered about, how your manager will feel about it.
Client {Narendra} I feel so much at ease, and now have the clarity, having found why I felt so submissive, appeasing my boss. Thank you for the direction ,and this wonderful technique which I can use anytime I find myself stuck and confused in life.
