Today morning, while meditating, I was finding it difficult to focus, because my mind and focus both were driven by a case I was working on, and despite my best efforts, my mind wandered making it more and more difficult to focus.
Amidst my struggle, when suddenly, I unconsciously opened my eyes, I realize the bright day has turned into a dull morning, dense clouds hovering all over with a gentle drizzle, in a matter of 15 minutes, the external view underwent a drastic change, this scene from the video brought me an idea flashed and I said; Eureka! The cycle of change! a concept that I could assist my coaching client with.
If you are wondering what it is?
Cycle of Change
It is the constant change of time, moving in cycles, which keep changing every moment, regardless of how we experience it, which can be either pleasant, neutral or not so pleasant .
It may sound simple but holds the deepest truth about our very existence, and those who really understand this at a deeper level seldom would feel stressed or worried.
How I got the idea ?
In the morning when I was on my usual daily walk and reflection mode, there was no traces of any rain, but within minutes while I was more engrossed trying to find focus from my preoccupied mind, the outside environment changed, it rained heavily, sweeping away the dust and dry spell, bathing everything in new freshness.
All it took was fifteen odd minutes and everything changed within my own experience.
So, next time when you find yourself stuck or blocked, simply pause, take three deep breaths, and remind yourself of “cycle of change”, the impermanence principle, which teaches us that everything changes, however good or bad it may seem.
